PSL - Portuguese as a Second Language

Tailored for heritage learners, this program facilitates language acquisition through dynamic classes integrating English and Portuguese. Students explore everyday themes, cultural aspects, and traditional games to enhance conversational skills and vocabulary. Active parental involvement is encouraged through weekly support and guidance, fostering a nurturing environment for language development at home.

Childhood Education

Projeto Brasil offers engaging programs for children aged 12 to 36 months and kindergarten to 5th graders, focusing on Portuguese language acquisition through play-based learning, capoeira classes, storytelling, and thematic projects encompassing science, literature, music, arts, and Brazilian culture. These sessions stimulate linguistic, cognitive, and motor development while instilling a love for Brazilian heritage and language.

Kindergarten to 5th Year

The program offers immersive classes conducted in Portuguese, focusing on thematic projects covering science, literature, music, arts, history, geography, and Brazilian culture. Through active methodologies and interdisciplinary projects, students explore various subjects, expanding their vocabulary and fostering conversational skills. Emphasis is placed on oral communication, writing, and reading, with activities such as discussions, presentations, interviews, games, theater, and storytelling. The holistic approach nurtures a love for Brazil and cultural pride, essential for fostering a multicultural and bilingual identity. Classes are available in face-to-face, online, and private formats.

6th to 12th Year

Designed for adolescents, this program employs active methodologies and interdisciplinary projects to encourage autonomy, research skills, and leadership development. Students delve into thematic projects covering various subjects while preparing for language proficiency assessments. Additionally, spelling workshops cater to heritage speakers, emphasizing the importance of cultural pride and linguistic identity formation during adolescence.
