Physical play is crucial for child development. The center allows supervised physical play, including extended outdoor playtime, dance, and indoor playtime with age-appropriate equipment.

The curriculum is based on play, imagination, and children’s interests. Teachers provide authentic materials to support exploration and investigation. Children learn concepts in both Portuguese and English.

Schedules changes must be requested in writing to the Center Director at least 30 days in advance. The center will review and confirm the feasibility. Withdrawals also require a 30-day notice.

Our center values the relationship between home, child, and school. Family involvement is encouraged, and teachers conduct biannual conferences to discuss the child’s development.

Outdoor play is encouraged in all weather. Sunscreen and insect repellant are provided. Weather-related delays and closures follow Austin ISD decisions. The center ensures children are appropriately dressed for the weather.

Families can submit an extra hours form or email the Center Director 24 hours in advance for extra hours. Absences should be notified to the child’s teacher, though there’s no attendance requirement for enrolled students.

While teachers can offer babysitting services, maintaining a professional relationship is encouraged. The center is not responsible for outcomes outside its premises.

Information is posted in each classroom, and families receive monthly updates from the Center Director. Notifications about calendar updates, fees, and handbook policies are sent in writing.
